A foundation of theory and practice in food literacy education
Each participant will experience the lessons via the sensory-based, hands on approach that they will then implement in their teaching. A background in nutrition is not required and critical thinking skills will be applied to help decode some of the prevalent views on nutrition and what is scientifically valid. Participants will be equipped with the content knowledge and effective instructional strategies needed to successfully implement Food is Elementary.
