Overview of Workshop

Get your students ready to plant in whatever space you have available. Whether you have access to an in-ground garden plot, raised beds, or just a few containers, this workshop will help you bring Earth Day activities for students to life through garden-based experiences that connect students to the earth.

As climate change increasingly impacts our daily lives, this workshop introduces Earth Day classroom activities that promote ecological awareness and empowers students to take positive action. Through planting and reflection, students learn how small actions can support a healthier planet.

In this workshop, educators will:

• Explore meaningful, hands-on Earth Day & Arbor Day lessons that are easy to implement in any setting
• Learn how to plan a container garden, raised bed, or in-ground plot
• Explore how plants support the environment and student well-being
• Engage students in discussions about climate change and sustainability
• Receive a garden activity guide aligned to Earth Day & Arbor Day classroom themes
