Family Workshop – Fall 2023
Celebrating the Agricultural Roots of Halloween
Online Workshop
Saturday, October 21, 2023
11am-12pm Eastern time zone
Did you know that Halloween originally had nothing to do with candy? Join us for a fun and healthy antidote to this sweet and spooky holiday and learn about the agricultural roots of Halloween. Your family will learn about the ancient beliefs and traditions that led to trick or treating and carving jack-o-lanterns. You will work together to prepare Soul Cakes and Colcannon, a simple, savory, traditional Irish dish that features mashed potatoes, cabbage, and caramelized onions.
Online workshop is $25 per household. We provide you with a list of foods and cooking materials required for this workshop and walk your family through the steps required to prepare the recipes live on zoom.
In person workshop – stay tuned, location TBD!
